The Bowen Technique
The Bowen technique is a non-invasive light touch complementary therapy. It does not attempt to inflict the will of the therapist or a specific outcome, onto the individual. Instead it offers the body the opportunity to restore structural integrity and alignment. The technique consists of a series of moves across muscle, tendon and soft tissue.
It can be highly effective for treating a wide range of conditions including back pain, frozen shoulder, neck pain, sciatica, asthma, hayfever, sports injury…often when nothing else has helped.
Andy was inspired to train in Bowen due to the positive effect it had on a longstanding low back and shoulder problem. He has also been teaching Pilates for the last 5 years, and is passionate about empowering people with exercises to help strengthen and prevent re-injury.
