Polarity Therapy

Faith Luke-FennellAlso CPD Trainings, Supervision for body workers, Polarity Yoga and Dance, Manager of Oasis Float and Therapy Centre. Faith worked as a registered general nurse within the NHS for 16 years. Saddened by the degree of chronic illness and suffering she witnessed, and her role as only a temporary rescuer at times, she felt inspired to study the causes of illness and to work as an educator. She studied Remedial Massage, Reflexology and Shiatsu, – her studies culminating in a three-year diploma training in Polarity Therapy in 1990. Polarity Therapy integrates Ayurvedic principles of bodywork, diet, cleansing, yoga and body-mind-emotion awareness. It helps rebalance the body’s electromagnetic energy system through the nervous system, and the cranial, spinal and musculo-skeletal systems. Bodywork techniques range from light gentle touch to deeper invigorating pressure point work.

Where appropriate, this work can be a powerful tool for personal integration. Polarity Therapy can help alleviate symptoms of: trauma, stress, tension, back pain, neck and shoulder pain, headaches, PMT, menopause, digestive problems, anxiety, depression and much more. In 1997 Faith received her teaching certificate in Polarity Therapy and currently offers continued professional development to all those involved in the healing arts. She also offers supervision for groups or individuals. Faith is a Director of the Arcturus Clinic CIC. She offers 1½ hour consultations for people wanting advice and support with the Sustainable Health Care protocols and techniques, she suggests appropriate referrals and helps clients build individual therapy plans. Faith also practices and teaches Oncology Massage principles at Oasis.
